Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 1cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4cup organic brown sugar
- 1-1/2Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2tsp baking powder
- 1/4tsp sea salt
- 1/2cup skim milk
- 2Tbsp coconut oilmelted
For the Sauce:
- 1cup organic brown sugar
- 1/4cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1-3/4cups boiling water
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F.

To prepare cake, in a medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a small bowl, whisk together milk and oil. Add milk mixture to flour mixture and mix them together using an electric mixer on low speed. Pour batter into an ungreased 8 x 8-inch baking pan and spread evenly.

In a small bowl, mix together second amount of brown sugar and cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over batter. Pour boiling water on top. DO NOT STIR!

Bake in preheated oven for 35 - 40 minutes, until top of cake feels dry to touch. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
