For years, I’ve been enjoying Autumn Calabrese’s workouts. What I love about them is 1) they are extremely motivating, and 2) they really work your butt and abs! And 80 Day Obsession is no exception.

What is 80 Day Obsession?
It’s a brand new streamable workout program available through Beachbody on Demand with a timed meal plan designed for exercisers who want to build their strength and lean out their abs.
Autumn really breaks it down with this program. It focuses on your abs and booty, and let me tell you, IT WORKS! Even if you have weight to loose, you are going to shed pounds, build lean muscle and tone your entire body.
- There are 3 phases of workouts over the course of 13 weeks. In total there are 97 days of workouts because you get Sundays off as a rest day.
- The workouts range from 45-60 minutes, and as always, there is a modifier.
- Autumn introduces timed nutrition, which is a macro-nutrient plan that is timed to produce amazing results.
My 80 Day Obsession Challenge Group will be starting workouts on January 15th. I’m going to help you out with the timed nutrition, my lower carb meal plans, sticking with your workouts, troubleshooting, and focusing on YOURSELF!

The program does not officially become available in the Beachbody On Demand Library until January 15th, but you will be able to purchase your package starting on December 14th. You will have access on January 8th to the nutrition plan (timed nutrition).
If you have been with Beachbody for awhile, you know that you can get some programs on DVD. The 80 Day Obsession will NOT launch on DVD and will only be available to stream with Beachbody on Demand.
Who is 80 Day Obsession For?
Those who want to:
- gain some lean muscle and boost their metabolism.
- add curves WITHOUT bulking up.
- get a great workout from the comfort of their own home.
What Are The Workouts Like?
What I love about this program is that each workout is unique! You get 80 different workouts so you’ll never get bored.
You can expect total body workouts with weights and strength bands, compound exercises, and plyometrics.
The program includes 3 phases that each last about a month.
Phase 1:
In phase 1, you learn proper form and how to use your resistance bands and sliders. The focus is on building up strength and consistency with proper form for maximum results.
Phase 2:
In phase 2, you’ll begin adding compound movements (ex. a deadlift and a squat.) You’ll also be adding heavier weights, but will also use your body weight for many of the moves.
Phase 3:
Phase 3 is the most intense. You’ll begin mixing in plyometric moves with the compound moves from phase 2.
It’s crazy to know that NO TWO workouts are the same! Even if you’re performing the same moves, you’re changing up the reps or the weights you use. You will NOT get bored with this program.
Now you can understand why this program is not on DVD! Can you imaging having 80 DVD’s?! This format has never been done before with Beachbody, so I’m really excited to try it out! So many times I’ll get bored with a workout program, but I know I won’t with 80 Day Obsession.
The length of the workouts range from 45 – 60 minutes.
You workout 6 days a week, with 1 rest day.
What Equipment Is Required?
- Dumbbells (light, medium, and heavy)
- Strength Slides
- Resistance Loops
- Floor mat (optional)
- Foam roller (optional)
What is the Nutrition Plan Like?
Okay, so this is where I differ than all of the other Beachbody coaches out there.
I no longer promote the 21 day fix system of eating with the containers, calorie calculation, etc. I’ve gone into detail why HERE, so please read my article for more information.
If you join my test group, I am not going to give you a 21 day fix nutrition plan. It’s just not something I can stand behind when it comes to supporting women’s hormones. HOWEVER, I will be looking deeper into using the timed nutrition protocol throughout this program.
I’ve been experimenting with timed nutrition for the past month, and I must say, it’s been working better for me. We’ll go into which foods are best to have around your workouts and the rest of the day. Some of these ideas stem from the 80 Day Obsession plan, some stem from my own experimentation and what works for me and what works best for women.
**PLEASE NOTE that I will be providing a higher fat (around 50%) and lower carbs (around 25%) meal plan to you. BUT, I must strongly advise that you need to do what works best for YOUR body! We are all different, which why I refuse to promote the 21 day fix system because we are not a one size fits all when it comes to our health.
Will I Need Supplements?
I am not someone who believes we should be using supplements all the time. I believe we should aim to get our nutrition first from real, whole food! But, it’s not always possible to get everything we need from supplements alone.
Because we will be using timed nutrition, I’m going to strongly recommend using the Beachbody Performance Line of supplements.
I currently use Energize and Recover around my workouts. I have noticed a big difference in my energy and recovery from my workouts. So many supplements I’ve tried are full of junk fillers and additives. But the Beachbody Performance line supplements are ones I can proudly stand behind. They contain real ingredients, nothing fake.
While you can see results without these supplements, they can certainly help your results, fuel your body, and get you through your workouts with less soreness.
